However, it takes serious fashion skills to pull off wearing them in school -- without looking like you just rolled out of bed. Think of something school appropriate because some schools may see PJs as too casual. Running out in some waist high, baggy butt, fruit print PJ bottoms isn't a smart choice. It's best to keep the pattern and colors somewhat neutral. Plaid is especially good. Be sure they are not too baggy or too tight: try to find something in the middle that's comfortable and cute.

Pair them with just about anything; it's better to tone down the top when wearing PJ's, especially if they haven't become a trend in your school yet. Stick with slimmer tops to balance out your shape. Avoid pairing them with over-size hoodies, unless you want to look like a bum.

Don't over-do it. Getting up out of bed and just heading to school in what you're wearing is a big no-no. Take time to get rid of that bedhead and change into a nice drool-free shirt.

Pairing PJ bottoms with slippers overdoes it a little as well. Sneakers can often look a little strange paired with PJ pants, but Ugg's slippers or boots look good with PJ pants. (TIP: Tuck PJ pants into Ugg boots and it will look really cute!)
Make sure you look good. (TIP: If your pajama pants are saggy, some type of skate shoes looks better with them)

Make sure you are confined in them so you don't have embarrassing incidents. Like during p.e. and always make sure they stay on you.
PJ bottoms are actually very warm, particularly the fleece ones. Wearing them during winter time is a good excuse to look lazy/casual.
If you're a girl, consider sticking to briefs. Most girls are wearing thongs these days. The lines may suck, but you never know when some weirdo will pants you. Better safe than sorry.
Make sure to check your school's dress code. Although most people won't really care, if you have a strict school/principal, you may get in trouble. If you aren't sure if your school will care or not, ask your principal.
Some good places to buy PJ bottoms to wear to school are Victoria's Secret (for girls) and Abercrombie.
If this is a new thing at your school, you might get a few looks.
You might consider buying a new pair of PJ bottoms just for school and outside purposes.
A cute outfit: Navy blue PJ pants(not too baggy or tight!) and a well-fit white Henley(it's a polo without the collar) with a navy blue shirt under the henley and PJ's tucked into Ugg boots.
Ripping PJ bottoms like jeans doesn't seem like a good idea, but who knows--it might look cool.
